Desde el 2023 he estado investigando en silencio a traves de los principios de la microeconomia una manera de medir y cuantificar la importancia del tiempo fuera del trabajo. Cuanto vale? Como se mide? Cuales serian los beneficios asociados a estas metricas para las personas? Me he adentrado en principios microeconomicos como el limite presupuestario, la elasticidad, las curvas de indiferencia, el valor actual neto, curtas logaritimicas o en la utilidad marginal. La microeconomia y sus principios teoricos me han ayudado a encontrar una manera de tratar el tiempo como un producto, un producto finito y escaso que debe ser tenido en cuenta con todo rigor porque alberga dentro de si nuestro tesoro mas querido: nuestra vida.
THE BEGINNING
Since 2023, I have been quietly conducting research—guided by the principles of microeconomics—into a method for measuring and quantifying the value of time spent outside of work. How much is such time truly worth? How can it be calculated? And what benefits might arise from developing reliable metrics for it? My exploration has drawn upon core microeconomic concepts such as budget constraints, elasticity, indifference curves, net present value, logarithmic functions, and marginal utility—all in an effort to determine the economic worth of time itself. Through this lens, I have come to view time as a commodity: a finite and scarce resource that must be analyzed with the utmost rigor, for within it lies our most precious asset—our lives.

EL VALOR ECONOMICO DEL TIEMPO PERSONAL Y SU TEORIA FUNDAMENTADA
La ecuación EVPT surge de un proyecto de investigación inductivo de dos años de recolección, obtención de datos bajo la técnica del análisis cualitativo de datos. En este proceso se extraen mediante códigos los principales factores que determinan la composición de la teoría fundamentada. Posteriormente se articulan las combinaciones de los factores que dan lugar a la fórmula para finalmente demostrarla por medio de la inducción matemática.
THE ECONOMIC VALUE OF PERSONAL TIME: A GROUNDED THEORY
The EVPT equation emerged from a two-year inductive research project, collecting data using qualitative data analysis. In this process, the main factors determining the composition of the grounded theory were extracted using codes. The combinations of factors that give rise to the formula are then articulated and finally demonstrated through mathematical induction.
FORMULA VALIDATION

La fórmula está defendida desde una óptica aplicada y no pretende ser una verdad absoluta aunque sí una ecuación racional y correcta. A tal efecto, se deriva la fórmula y se prueba su validez a través del método de inducción.
El artículo de investigación original se publica en una revista científica indexada en los repositorios DOAJ y EconLit. DOAJ goza de prestigio porque defiende la integridad de las publicaciones de acceso abierto mediante la transparencia y el control de calidad. EconLit es respetado porque representa el referente académico en economía, seleccionado por la Asociación Americana de Economía (AEA) con estrictos filtros de calidad.
MATH INDUCTION
The formula is defended from an applied perspective and does not appear to be the absolute truth, although it is a rational and correct equation. To this end, the formula is derived, and its validity is tested using the method of induction.
The original research paper is published in a scientific journal indexed in DOAJ and EconLit repositories. DOAJ is respected because it upholds the integrity of open access publishing through transparency and quality control. EconLit is respected because it represents the academic gold standard in economics, curated by the American Economic Association (AEA) with strict quality filters.

People's quick mental association with the value of money and numbers means that being able to visualize a figure of economic value per hour acts as a powerful tool that triggers self-awareness. Companies, organizations, and individuals have been hearing for years about the importance of being aware of the value of their own time. These messages, while positive and valuable, don't demonstrate on an economic level what EVPT does.
