Yesterday, ACM became a university in the US officially.

After 7 years of hard work in an accreditation process, the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) has granted institutional accreditation to ACM.

Together, all our efforts have converged into something extraordinary, such as the NECHE accreditation. Each of you represents a small piece of this great puzzle. Something to be proud of.

NECHE, the New England Commission of Higher Education, is officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, which is the key baseline for legitimacy. It’s also recognized by CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation), meaning it meets standards for academic quality and accountability. It is one of the main institutional (formerly “regional”) accreditors in the U.S., which is generally seen as the most rigorous type. In practice, this puts NECHE in the top tier of accreditors globally.

NECHE accredits many highly respected universities, including Harvard University, Yale University, MIT, and Boston University. That’s a strong signal: top institutions trust it, and accreditation standards are consistent across all members.

I want to express my gratitude to our President, Dr. Carl Jubran, and to the rest of the Top Management for leading us to this pinnacle.

Bravo ACM Community!
