My academic and professional life in the US and UK

Having lived, studied, and worked across three continents during three decades, I bring a truly global perspective that is embedded in the DNA of every course I teach. I have learned and keep on learning from all locations, sharing GLOBAL insights everyday with my students

Whichita, Kansas

At ages 18 to 20, I studied at Cowley College / Wichita State University on a tennis scholarship (1988–1990). This experience taught me the value of diligence, reliability, and unwavering commitment, as exemplified by Midwesterners who consistently go above and beyond without complaint.

During the final year of my undergraduate studies in 1995, I had the opportunity to attend the Maidenhead Centre of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). There, I developed a strong sense of professionalism and respect for roles, procedures, and workplace etiquette. Classes and meetings at CIM were highly structured, and high standards were consistently upheld.

Maidenhead, Berkshire, UK

I began my PhD at the University of Bradford from 2004 to 2007, where I dedicated extended periods to developing expertise in advanced research methods and honing methodological rigor. This experience not only strengthened my analytical and critical thinking skills but also provided me with a solid foundation for conducting high-quality, evidence-based research.

My academic and professional life in Europe

Notthingham, UK

In 1997, I graduated with an MBA from Nottingham Trent University while simultaneously working at Market Modelling, a consulting firm. My MBA experience equipped me with the skills to tackle complex business problems strategically and make data-driven decisions with confidence.

From 2007 to 2009, I earned my DBA at the Swiss Business School University of Applied Sciences Institute, in one of the world’s foremost financial hubs. My doctoral journey instilled perseverance and a disciplined, methodical approach that reflects Swiss excellence.

My birthplace, Barcelona, continues to teach me valuable lessons. The greatest lesson I learned from the city and its people is that diversity is not merely coexistence, but a source of innovation and strength (1969–1988).

My academic and professional life in Asia

Bangkok, Thailand

From 2014 to 2017, alongside my role as a professor at NIDA and Kasetsart University, I represented Irix International, a company specializing in the import and distribution of electrical components. This experience strengthened my ability to embrace cultural diversity and adapt effectively to dynamic environments.

While serving as CEO of Eurothai Allied Food from 2008 onwards, I learned the meaning of the Thai phrase “jai yen” (literally “cold heart”), which emphasizes staying calm. I observed that challenges are best met with a composed, solution-oriented approach rather than emotional reactions.,
